Dagger of Whispers (5e Equipment)
Weapon (Dagger), Rare (Requires attunement) This weapon is a +1 dagger that deals an additional 2d4 psychic damage on successful attack rolls. Upon inspection the dagger is dawned with a deep black hilt and has purple psychic energy emitting from the blade. As an action the dagger can be used to cast Vicious Mockery twice per day. This dagger is also inscribed with two modes, in a language that is common around the area that it was found at and glows when activated. These modes are called "Frighten" and "Commune". Whispers of the Dagger (Frighten) As an action, in a 30 ft radius, you may target a creature, the targeted creature must make a DC 13 Wisdom saving throw or the targeted creature becomes frightened of you for one minute. The targeted creature can choose to reroll the save at the end of each of its turns. You can use this feature once per day. Whispers of the Dagger (Commune) As an action, in a 30 ft radius, you may target a creature, the targeted creature, if willing, can telepathy commune with you up to a distance of 2 miles for 8 hours, both you and the targeted creature hear each other in whispers. If the dagger is further than 2 miles from the targeted creature, contact is broken and cannot be reconnected until the ability can be used again. You can use this feature once per day. |
