Self Terminate. The hunter's hit point maximum can't be reduced. When the hunter is reduced to 0 hit points, its body explodes, and it dies. Every creature within 10 feet of it must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 22 (4d10) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Any object or structure within 5 feet of it takes double this damage.

Superior Critical. The hunter scores a critical hit on a roll of 18, 19, or 20.

Magic Resistance. The hunter has advantage on saving throws against spells and other magical effects.

Legendary Resistance (1/Day). If the hunter fails a saving throw, it can choose to succeed instead.

Powercore Points. The hunter's inner powercore has 9 powercore points which it may expend. It regains all powercore points at the end of a long rest.

ACTIONS

Unarmed Strike. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 8 (1d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Energy Net(Recharge 5-6). Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, range 30/60 ft., one creature. Hit: 11 (2d10) radiant damage and the target is restrained by the net. As an action, the restrained target can make a DC 12 Strength check, bursting the net on a success. The net can also be attacked and destroyed (AC 10; hp 5; immunity to bludgeoning, poison, and psychic damage).

Enhanced Movement (1 Powercore Point). As a bonus action, the hunter takes the disengage or dash action and its jump distance is doubled until the end of its turn.

BONUS ACTIONS

Charged Net (1 Powercore Point). The hunter adds 1d10 radiant damage to its next attack and damage roll with its energy net and if the attack hits, the target is pulled up to 60 ft towards the hunter.

REACTIONS

Adaptive Armor (3 Powercore Points). When the hunter is targeted by an attack, it gains a +3 bonus to its AC and gains immunity to nonmagical bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage, and resistance to magical slashing, piercing, and bludgeoning damage for 1 minute.

Predictive Counterstrike (1 Powercore Point) When an attack roll is made against the hunter, it makes an unarmed strike attack against the attacker.

When it came time to capture the few remaining elite ninjas which resisted the Cyber Lin Kuei Initiative, the Lin Kuei Grandmaster deployed the Cyber Lin Kuei Hunters to get the job done.

Self Terminate. Due to the delicate nature of their mission, failure was not considered an acceptable option. Programed with predicted counterstrike capabilities and enhanced movement speed, if all else failed, Cyber Lin Kuei Hunters were also equipped with inner explosives which would detonate should their mission end in any outcome other than the successful retrieval of their Lin Kuei brethren.

Constructed Nature. A hunter doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.
