Cursed Survivor[edit]

Central Yharnam, [1]

The scourge of beasts consumes Yharnam, twisting its victims into horrifying abominations. You were one of the afflicted, a soul on the verge of losing everything to the disease. Yet, by some twist of fate, you resisted total transformation. The curse still lingers within you, clawing at your mind and body, but you remain, half-human, half-monstrosity.

You have endured what few others have and lived to tell the tale. Some see you as an abomination, others as a miracle. You may fight to suppress your inner beast, or perhaps you have begun to embrace it. Either way, your survival was no accident. The Hunt has only just begun.

Skill Proficiencies: Survival, Intimidation

Tool Proficiencies: Herbalism Kit or Leatherworker’s Tools

Equipment: A tattered cloak that still bears the scent of blood, a small silver mirror that reflects your true self, a vial of sedative, and a pouch containing 10 blood echoes.

Feature: Tainted Flesh[edit]

The beast plague still lingers in your blood, giving you unnatural endurance and resilience. You gain advantage on saving throws against disease, poison, and forced transformations. Additionally, those who recognize your condition may react with either fear or fascination, treating you as an outcast or as a subject of curiosity.

You can sense other cursed individuals within 60 feet of you, feeling an instinctual connection to those who suffer from the same affliction. However, prolonged exposure to bloodshed may awaken the curse further, leading to uncontrollable urges or visions of the Hunt.
