Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement)

The golden Crown of Zorin is inlaid with several amethysts and is adorned with red markings. Made by the god of madness Insanis as a gift to his champion Zorin: the king of a long forgotten kingdom, though the crown drove him to insanity, but his mind was opened to the thought of his god gifting him with knowledge beyond that of human understanding which led him to bring his kingdom to new height never seen before.

Maddening Echoes. Your mind is full of the thought of Insanis that your thoughts cannot be read and telepathy does not work on you and any that would try has to make a DC 17 Wisdom saving throw, failing force them to roll form the short-term madness table and take 5d10 psychic damage. Creatures you designate automatically succeed on their saving throws.
Mental Resilience You are resistant to psychic damage, and cannot be charmed or frightened.
Random Properties. The Crown of Zorin has the following random properties:

  • 2 minor beneficial properties
  • 2 minor detrimental properties
  • 1 major detrimental property


Destroying the Crown of Zorin. The Crown of Zorin can be destroyed if it is struck with a mace of disruption while being worn by Zorin.
