College of the Epic Saga[edit]
Bard Subclass
Bards of the College of Epic Saga are focused on the great tales of those who have come before. They learn songs of the great heroes and horrors of the land. By singing of those who have come before, they can bolster and embolden themselves and those around them to try and live up to the glorious history of old, where each verse can lends itself to bringing out the power of a hero in each of us.
- Songs of Legend
At 3rd level, you can use your action and a use of your Bardic Inspiration to start singing the verse of one of three songs that detail the trials and tribulations that heroes of old have faced to embolden yourself and your allies. Each lasts one minute
Song Name | Effect |
---|---|
Ballad of Glory | Once per turn, allied creatures within 30 feet of you deal bonus damage on a hit equal to your Charisma modifier. |
Aria of the Trials | Allied creatures within 30 feet of you gain temporary hitpoints equal to your Charisma modifier when you deal damage to a creature. |
Hymn of the Heroes | Once per turn, allied creatures within 30 feet of you have a bonus to attack rolls equal to your Charisma modifier. |
- You cannot sing a Song of Legend if you are unable to sing or perform the verbal, or somatic components of a spell, however singing a Song of the Ages doesn't require or break concentration. You must have an instrument in your hand to perform this feature.
- While you are singing this, you are unable to cast spells that require verbal components. And you can't spend your bardic inspiration to inspire someone.
- Additionally, the effects granted by your Songs of the Ages do not apply to creatures that cannot hear you sing.
- Improved Song of Rest
At 6th level while using your song of rest feature, in addition to the bonus hit points a creature using a hit die may also choose to recover a level of exhaustion, recover a spell slot up to 3rd level, or a single use of any long rest feature as long as the feature is gained at a level equal or less than the bard performing this feature. A creature can only benefit from one of these additional recoveries
- Epic Finale
At 14th level, you learn a final Epic Song. As a full turn action, allied creatures within 60 feet of you regain hitpoints equal to your Bardic Inspiration die, plus your Charisma modifier, and lose the charmed, frightened, and stunned conditions if they had them. A creature effected by this has a bonus to saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier until the start of your next turn.
