Cloak of the Bear (5e Equipment)

Wondrous Item (cloak), artifact (requires attunement)

Once the mantle of the true king of the forest, now the war trophy of countless generations of warriors, after a nameless warrior slew its rightful owner.
Random Properties. The Cloak of the Bear has the following random properties:

  • 1 minor beneficial property
  • 1 major beneficial property


Mantle of the Forest. You gain a +2 bonus to your AC and death saving throws.

Ursan Vitality. Your Constitution score increases by 2, as does your maximum for that score. You additionally gain another 20 hit points.

Spiritual Resonance. You have advantage on saving throws made to avoid being stunned or paralyzed.
Destroying the Cloak of the Bear. The Cloak of the Bear can only be destroyed by willingly giving it back to the rightful ruler of the forest and crowning them king once more before proceeding to burn down the forest and kill the rightful ruler, after which the cloak burns away to ash, and then to nothing.
