The chain-dagger, or "kyoketsu-shuge" is a double-edged blade, with an additional curved blade, on the end of a chain or rope.
- Reach
With the chain-dagger you can make melee attacks against enemies that are 2 squares away from you as well as against adjacent enemies. You can make opportunity attacks only against creatures adjacent to you and can flank only enemies adjacent to you.
- Disarming
You can use the chain-dagger to make a disarming attack.
- Tripping
You can use the chain-dagger to make a tripping attack.
- Climbing
The chain-dagger grants you a +2 bonus to Athletics checks made to climb, although this does not stack with other similar bonuses granted by adventuring equipment.
