Cerg's Glorious Right Hook (5e Equipment)

Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a wizard)

Cerg's Glorious Right Hook is a large, and heavy, right gauntlet, connected to more armor that reaches up to the shoulder, with a pauldron. The armor itself is deep blue with silver trim, with small ornate designs. While very well made, the plates seem to be constructed out of a broken down Shield Guardian.

The gauntlet weighs about 30 lbs to an unattuned creature, but an attuned one doesn't feel the weight of the item while wearing it.

Built-In Focus. While holding nothing in the gauntlet, you can use Cerg's Glorious Right Hook as a Spellcasting Focus for your Wizard spells.

Enhanced Magical Protection. You gain an additional +1 bonus to your AC so long as you are affected by one or more magical effects that increase your AC, such as the shield spell.

Glorious. When casting a Wizard cantrip that requires a Ranged Spell Attack, you can instead change it to a Touch Spell Attack, with a range of Touch. On a hit when casting a cantrip this way, it deals an additional 1d4 damage. You can deal this extra damage once every time you cast a cantrip this way. When doing this, you must use Cerg's Glorious Right Hook as a Spellcasting Focus.
