Broken Hero Blade (5e Equipment)

Weapon (longsword), very rare (attunement optional) This sword is a majestic sword, made of fine steel and with a beautiful ruby in the hilt. However, it has become broken over time. The tip is broken off, and the ruby in the bottom is cracked. It used to be very powerful, yet it has lost some of its magic over time. Broken Blade The sword is powerful, but it's broken. The sword has a +1 bonus to all attack and damage rolls. It does 1d6 slashing damage while wielded with one hand or 1d8 slashing damage when wielded with two, instead of the normal damage done by a longsword. It has the light property. Spirit of the Soldier This sword used to be owned by a great warrior, and some of their spirit is still contained in it. If you are attuned to this item, you can use a bonus action to call upon the spirit of the hero. While this bonus is activated, the bonus to attack and damage rolls increases to +3, and you can make an attack with this weapon as a bonus action. This bonus lasts for 1 minute, or until you end it (no action required). Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until dawn of the next day. If the ruby is ever removed from the sword, then you cannot use this feature anymore, and only the Broken Blade feature listed above works.
