Bow of Bass (5e Equipment)
Weapon (longsword), very rare (major) (requires attunement by a bard) At first glance, this appears to be a bow - not the weapon, but what would be used to play a stringed instrument, a double bass in particular. You have a +1 bonus to your spell attack rolls and spell save DC while holding this weapon and you have a +1 bonus to attack and damage made with this magic weapon. In addition, when this bow is used to play a stringed instrument, you have a +1 bonus to the Wisdom (Performance) check. As a bonus action, you can expend a hit die to charge the bow of bass for 10 minutes. When charged, you deal an extra 2d4 damage of a damage type chosen when initially charged, choosing from acid, poison, fire, cold, lightning, or thunder on your damaging bard spells and your attacks with this weapon. Furthermore, you may switch the type of extra damage dealt to another available damage type as a bonus action. |
