Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a bard)

This book filled with sheet music contains the secrets to casting many bard spells encoded within it’s notes.

Preparing Songs When found, the book contains the following spells:detect magic, feather fall, identify, illusory script, sleep, and unseen servant. While you are attuned to the book you can prepare a number of spells from this book equal to your charisma modifier, making them available for you to cast(the spells must be of a level for which you have a bard spell slot). These spells are considered bard spells for you but don’t count against your number of spells known. You can change your list of prepared spells when you finish a long rest. Preparing a new list of spells from this book takes time playing and memorizing songs from the book:at least 1 minute per spell level for each spell prepared.

Coping a Spell into the Book When you find a bard spell of first level or higher, you can add it to the book of songs if it’s of a level you can prepare and if you can spare the time to decipher it and translate it into the form of sheet music. For each level of the spell, the process takes 2 hours and 50 gold pieces. Once you have spent this time and money, you can prepare the spell just like the other spells from the book.
