Weapon (shortsword), very rare (requires attunement)

A super dense sword made of bones. It has sigils inscribed on the sides of the blade. As blood is smeared on the blade in combat, it gains more and more power, until eventually, it sends its user into a bloody rage.

You have a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls with this magic weapon. Whenever you hit and deal damage to a creature that is not a construct or undead that has blood with this weapon, the Bone Sword gains a charge. Whenever you take damage from an attack, this weapon loses one charge. The Bone Sword can hold up to 3 charges. For each charge that the Bone Sword has, you gain an additional +1 bonus to the damage rolls of this weapon. For every minute that passes by without you attacking a creature with this weapon, the Bone Sword loses one charge.

Blood Rage. As a bonus action, you may expend 3 charge to enter into a blood rage for 1 minute. While raging, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your movement speed increases by 20 feet.
  • You gain advantage on all Dexterity checks and saving throws.
  • You gain an additional +3 bonus to the attack rolls with this weapon. (+4 total)

The rage ends early if you are knocked unconscious or if your turn ends and you haven’t attacked a hostile creature since your last turn.
