Wondrous item, Legendary

The teeth of an Ancient Blue Dragon have been infused with the magical know-how of Gnome Artificers. These Teeth have been worked in a batch to be able to communicate with each other by stroking the tip of the tooth, sending a voice message to the whole set or to an individual tooth. They are intended to be used as a badge pin. You must be able to touch the badge to send a message.
* The Tooth of Draconic Communication consists of a set of 10 dragon's teeth, each intricately crafted and polished.

  • While wearing the badge pin, you can use an action to touch the tip of any tooth and speak a message of up to 25 words.
  • The message is magically transmitted to all other teeth in the set, which vibrate slightly to indicate receipt of the message.
  • By targeting a specific tooth when delivering the message, you can send it to that particular tooth only, and it will not be heard by the rest of the set.
  • The range of communication between the teeth is 1 mile. If a tooth is more than 1 mile away from the rest of the set, the message cannot be transmitted.
  • The teeth can send and receive messages only from other teeth within the set. They cannot communicate with other similar items or creatures.
  • Each tooth can store up to 3 messages at a time. Once a tooth has reached its message capacity, any new messages overwrite the oldest ones.
