Weapon (captain sword), very rare (major (XGtE p. 135)) (requires attunement)

This sword is in the shape of a falchion, and it was originally given to the Half-Orc warrior Kruemak for his single-handed defense of a prominent city in from a zombie horde. The creator of this sword, however, found out about Kruemak being a Half-Orc, and his racism caused him to make a sword that he thought would fit accordingly with the "bestial nature of the Half-Orc".

This magical longsword is a Captain Sword. It has a bonus of +2 on attacks and damage rolls, and it has the properties of a Sword of Life Stealing.

Cursed: Bloodthirsty. At each dawn, this sword is starved for blood, and it needs to be soaked in the blood of your enemies – or of the wielder, to function. Until you damage a creature that has blood with this weapon, it functions as a regular Captain Sword, losing all other properties. If you don’t wound an enemy within 8 hours after dawn, the blade syphon your blood as soon as you touch it, through the hilt and into the blade, which also restore its properties, causing you to lose 2d12 hit points.

If somehow the weapon is deprived of blood for over two weeks, its properties will only be restored after 7 days, during which you must’ve fed the blade at least once a day.
