Battlemage's Sheath (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
Battlemage's Sheath Artist Unknown |
Wondrous item, common
This small sheath attaches to the wrist with a leather strap. The sheath can accommodate a single light weapon, thrown weapon, wand, rod, or piece of ammunition weighing no more than 2 pounds. While sheathed, the item is hidden away under the wearer's sleeve. As a part of the same action used to wield, activate, or otherwise use the item, the wearer can flex their wrist in a specific way, extending the item comfortably into their hand. If their hand is not empty, the item remains sheathed, though they can always drop whatever they're holding before flicking their wrist.
Retracting the item requires a bonus action, and replacing the item with a new one takes an action. The wearer gains advantage on any Sleight of Hand checks made to conceal the sheath versus anyone attempting to observe or frisk them in search of the concealed item. They also gain advantage against any attempts to disarm or otherwise knock the item out of their hand.
Battlemage's sheathes can be worn in pairs—one on each arm. However, the wearer must expend a bonus action to extend both items simultaneously, and retracting both at the same time requires an action.
Weight: 1 lb.; Cost 50-100gp
