Weapon (greatsword), very rare (requires attunement)

A very powerful weapon that gradually corrupts its user.

Killer. This weapon has a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls. When you score a critical hit against a creature with this weapon, you roll 5d6 damage plus 3 plus your strength modifier instead of 4d6. If a creature has 15 HP or fewer after taking damage from your critical hit, it must succeed a DC 15 Constitution saving throw or drop to 0 hit points.

Curse. This sword is cursed. Attuning to this item curses you until you are targeted by a remove curse, greater restoration spell or similar magic cast at 5th level or higher. While cursed, every time you finish a long rest, the weapon's barbaric nature tries to corrupt you, and you must make a Wisdom save. Until you fail the save, the DC is 15. It increases by 1 everytime you fail. On a fail of 5 or more, you take 7 (2d6) necrotic damage. Any time you fail 3 times before you succeed 3 times, every time you take 30 or more damage, the sword's barbaric nature corrupts you with rage. On your next turn in the combat, you must use all of your attacks to make a melee attack against the origin of the damage. If you succeed three times before you fail three times, you have advantage on the next save you make against the curse. These saves continue until the curse ends, and the DC for the save cannot exceed 25.
