Bandage (5e Equipment)
From D&D Wiki
This 5-foot length of woven cloth bandage is appropriate for one use, but can be found as part of a larger roll. You can apply a bandage to yourself or a willing creature within 5 feet of you that has less than half its hit points remaining. Applying a bandage takes 1 minute. Once within the next 8 hours when the bandaged creature regains hit points, the amount of hit points regained increases by 4 plus an additional 2 for every die rolled to determine the regained hit points (ex. expended hit dice, the d8 from cure wounds).
Once it has been used in this way, the bandage then becomes soiled and can't be reused. A creature can only benefit from one bandage in this way at a time, and no more than once every 8 hours. Undead and constructs cannot benefit from a bandage.
A bandage can also be applied as part of the action of treating a bleeding creature. Doing so gives advantage on the Medicine check required and gives the bleeding creature resistance to the necrotic damage received for 1 minute. The bandage then becomes soiled and can't be reused.
