BLJ Initiate (5e Feat)
From D&D Wiki
BLJ Initiate
Prerequisites: Dexterity 13 or higher, or alternatively a 4th level Plumber
After a cataclysmic chain of events led to rampant destruction throughout the multiverse, cosmic forces joined together to debate on the usage of a particularly dangerous technique created by a small group of individuals. Deemed too dangerous for the common good, the technique and its creators were destroyed, reduced to nothing but whispers in the wind.
Many have tried to replicate the long-forgotten myth, few succeeding, even fewer surviving long enough to master it. Dare you challenge the hands of fate to achieve a world record, Speedrunner?
Through rigorous experimentation, broken bones and your very own blood, sweat and tears; you've finally managed to grasp the basics of the BLJ (Backwards Long Jump). As an action, while against a wall or vertical surface, you may expend half of your walking speed to attempt a BLJ; roll a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check, DC 14. On a success, you propel yourself at supersonic speeds in a straight line, traveling a distance equal to 5 times your expended walking speed.
Colliding with a creature deals 2d8 + 1 bludgeoning damage to the both of you, forcing your BLJ to a halt and dropping you prone within 5ft of the creature.
Occupying the same spot as a creature or solid object forces you out to the nearest unoccupied space, dealing force damage equal to double the amount of feet travelled.
