Poison Absorption. Whenever the araknorok is subjected to poison damage, it takes no damage and instead gains a number of hit points equal to the poison damage dealt.

Spellcasting. The araknorok is a 8th-level spellcaster. Its spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 17, +9 to hit with spell attacks). The champion knows the following sorcerer spells:

Cantrips (at will): acid splash, fire bolt, ray of frost, soaking hands
1st level (4 slots): burning hands, fog cloud, thunderwave
2nd level (3 slots): gust of wind, scorching ray
3rd level (3 slots): fireball, lightning bolt
4th level (2 slots): ice storm, wall of fire

Spider Climb. The araknorok can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Unstable. When the araknorok dies, an air elemental, an earth elemental, a fire elemental and a water elemental are summoned into unoccupied spaces within 30 feet of it. These elementals have advantage on attack rolls.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The araknorok makes four bite attacks.

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 25 (6d6 + 4) piercing damage.

Quake. Ranged Spell Attack: +9 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 91 (14d12) bludgeoning damage.

Erupt. Melee Spell Attack: +9 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 66 (12d10) fire damage.

Gust. Melee Spell Attack: +9 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 66 (12d10) wind damage.

Wave. Ranged Spell Attack: +9 to hit, range 200/600 ft., one target. Hit: 45 (7d12) water damage.

BONUS ACTIONS

Elemental Web. The araknorok launches an elemental web at a Large or smaller creature it can see within 30 feet of it. The target must succeed on a DC 17 Dexterity saving throw or take 9 (2d8) bludgeoning, fire, water, or wind damage (the araknorok's choice) and be restrained until the end of its next turn.


The araknorok is a divine creation meant to terminate the lands, spreading destruction wherever it walks in the form of natural disasters. While not evil, it obeys the task unerringly, sending off tsunamis, volcanoes, tornadoes, quakes, and more across the lands. It can speak in loud booms of one-to-one godly voice, and physically resembles a long-legged spider, with a floating sphere above containing various elementals. In combat, the araknorok crushes enemies with its fangs, piercing skulls. When injured, it conjures elements from its globe, spewing water, lava, tremors, and tornadoes. When defeated, it unleashes the primal forces of the various elementals inside it and, in a final bout of strength, melts into the earth, merging with its surroundings. Araknoroks are commonly found only when a great treachery is committed on the globe, and when said treachery happens, they are deployed in said spot by whatever god summoned them to wreak havoc.
