Ammo Duplicator (5e Equipment)

Wondrous Item, rare The ammo duplicator resembles a tiny box, which you attach to the outside of a weapon. It magically duplicates any nonmagical ammunition that is in a weapon when you make a ranged attack with it. The ammo duplicator may be attached to one weapon ONLY, so long as it requires ammunition. It allows that weapon to have an infinite amount of any type of nonmagical ammunition without expending any ammunition, so long as the wielder has at least one of that specific type of ammunition. For instance, if you attach the ammo duplicator to a coin cannon, if you have copper and silver pieces but not gold or platinum pieces, you may fire an infinite amount of copper or silver pieces, but not gold or platinum. Duplicated items can only exist for a few seconds after they are created. The duplicated ammunition cannot be salvaged.
