Algernon's Gloves of Temporary Sentience (5e Equipment)

These floral-patterned gloves fit comfortably to any wearer and have 2 charges. You can use an action to touch an object that fits inside a 10-foot cube and speak the command word. Thereafter, the object sprouts a mouth and eyes and becomes sentient, speaking whatever languages that you speak and having an Intelligence score of 10. It remembers nothing of the time that it was not sentient but is aware of what is going on around and inside of it. Its personality is determined by the DM. After 10 minutes, the effect fades. However, if all of the charges of this item are used on the same object for 10 days in a row, the effect becomes permanent. This item regains all expended charges daily at dawn.
