Alchemical Supplementation Array (5e Equipment)

Wondrous item, very rare (major) (requires attunement)

This device consists of a leather harness attached to a sleek mass of brass tubing and glasswork. Attunement consists of wearing the harness so that the apparatus makes contact with the wearer's spine, whereupon it drives six small needles into the wearer's back to securely anchor it in place.

The array can hold up to 6 4-ounce vials of any liquid, which can be installed, removed, or swapped around as part of a short rest. During this period, you may also set various activation methods for each vial.

Automatic. The liquid in the vial is injected when an a specific condition observable from within 60 feet of the array is met.

Command Word. The liquid in the vial is injected when a specific set command word is stated as a bonus action.

Manual. The liquid in the vial is injected by using a physical mechanism on the array as a bonus action.

When a liquid is injected, it confers any benefits or detriments it normally would as if you had consumed it as an action.

If a creature such as an undead or construct would not normally gain any benefit or detriment from consuming such a liquid, it does not do so even if the array is used.
