Wondrous Item, artifact (requires attunement)

A smooth and reflective statue of a dragon wrapping around an obelisk made from dark polished adamantine no larger or smaller than ten inches tall by four inches wide.

Draconic Summon When the command word, usually the name the dragon is given by the owner, is spoken the statue summons an adult red dragon that is now bound to you and shifts its alignment to the owners for as long as you like. The dragon understands all languages its master does and speaks draconic, and its master can now speak draconic if they did not already. The owner and dragon also share a telepathic connection to one another at all times as long as they are on the same plane of existence. If the dragon is reduced to 0 hit points it returns back to its plane of existence within the statue for 1d12 + 1 days. Any equipment on the dragon such as a saddle or barding is incorporated into its statue and reappears on the dragon when summoned again.
