Acalica Curse (Jujutsu Kaisen Supplement)
From D&D Wiki
Acalica Curse[edit]
Tiny undead (cursed spirit), neutral evil Armor Class 18 (natural armor)
Skills Perception +4, Stealth +7 Cursed Energy. The curse has 5 cursed energy that it can use to fuel it's abilities. All of it's cursed energy is replenished at the end of a long rest. Cursed Energy Recovery. The curse regains 1 cursed energy at the beggining of each of it's turns. Curse Resistance. The curse has advantage on saving throws against cursed techniques and other cursed effects. Magic Weapons. The Cursed Spirit's weapon attacks are magical. Invisible Force. The curse is entirely made out of cursed energy, meaning it cannot be seen by normal people. Creatures without levels in the Jujutsu Sorcerer class or who cannot see into the ethereal plane cannot see it. Although, if these creatures were in a life and death situation(less than half their maximum hit points), they gain the ability to see it. Glimmer. The curse is invisible when looked at directly. It can only be seen out of the corner of the viwer's eye unless the curse decides otherwise. Attacks against the curse have a -1d4 penalty. WeatherVane. The curse can predict the weather for the next 24 hours with 100% accuracy. Their coloring also reflects the current weather pattern and hints at the forecast as well. For example, in a hot day with rain for the next day, it will appear reddish/orange with blue/green wings and cap. ACTIONSSky Bolt. Ranged Spell Attack: +4 to hit, range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 12 (3d6 + 2) necrotic damage. This attack does an additional 7 (2d6) damage if the target could not see the curse when the attack hits. Gust of Wind (1 Cursed Energy). A line of strong wind 60 ft. long and 10 ft. wide blasts from the curse in a direction it chooses for 1 minute. Each creature that starts its turn in the line must succeed on a DC 12 Strength saving throw or be pushed 15 ft. away from you in a direction following the line. Any creature in the line must spend 2 feet of movement for every 1 foot it moves when moving closer to the curse. The gust disperses gas or vapor, and it extinguishes candles, torches, and similar unprotected flames in the area. It causes protected flames, such as those of lanterns, to dance wildly and has a 50 percent chance to extinguish them. As a bonus action on each of the curse's turns before the technique ends, it can change the direction in which the line blasts from them. Sleet Storm (1 Cursed Energy). Until the technique ends, freezing rain and sleet fall in a 20-foot-tall cylinder with a 40-foot radius centered on a point the curse chooses within 150 feet. The area is heavily obscured, and exposed flames in the area are doused. The ground in the area is covered with slick ice, making it difficult terrain. When a creature enters the technique's area for the first time on a turn or starts its turn there, it must make a DC 12 Dexterity saving throw. On a failed save, it falls prone. If a creature is concentrating in the technique's area, the creature must make a successful DC 12 Constitution saving throw or lose concentration. Fog Cloud (1 Cursed Energy). The Curse creates a 20-foot-radius sphere of fog centered on a point within 120 feet. The sphere spreads around corners, and its area is heavily obscured. It lasts for 1 hour or until a wind of moderate or greater speed (at least 10 miles per hour) disperses it. BONUS ACTIONSRegeneration. The Acalica curse can spend up to 4 Cursed Energy, regaining hit points equal to 5 times the amount spent. REACTIONSRegeneration. As a Reaction to suffering damage, the Acalica curse uses it's Regeneration. Glimmer Activation. When an attack misses the Curse he may become invisible until the end of his next turn or until he attacks. |
As far as legends and monsters go, the Acalica don’t seem too bad. They are said to be fair-tempered creatures that control the weather and are sometimes called weather-fairies. They live in underground caves, and they make sure to stay out of people’s way. The rare times they do appear, they look like small, wizened men. Not Cannon. The Acalica Curse is not an official cursed spirit demonstrated in the Jujutsu Kaisen franchise, it was completely made up by the people working behind this supplement. It is intended to populate campaigns in an absence of enough official material, and as such was properly balanced for any DM to use in their Jujutsu Campaign. Improved Durability. This creature uses the Improved Durability rule. |
