Absorb Elements Master

Prerequisites: the ability to cast absorb elements
You've mastered the 1st-level spell absorb elements, able to flexibly absorb and direct elemental energy through it. You gain the following benefits:

  • You always have absorb elements prepared. You can cast it at its lowest level without expending a spell slot.
  • When you cast absorb elements using a spell slot, you can augment it in one of the following ways:
  • Greater Absorption. After applying resistances, the triggering damage is further reduced by an amount equal to your character level, plus an additional 1d6 for each expended slot level of the spell.
  • Quickened Absorption. You don't expend your reaction as part of casting the spell.
  • Extended Absorption. You can maintain concentration on the spell to extend its duration, to a maximum duration of 1 minute. Until the spell ends, you benefit from the spell's resistance and have a pool of d6s, starting with an amount equal to the slot used to cast the spell. Each time you take damage of the resisted type, you gain an additional d6. Once per turn when you hit with a melee attack, you can expend up to an amount of d6s from this pool equal to your proficiency bonus and add it to the damage dealt by the attack. The additional damage dealt is the same type as the triggering damage.
  • Aggressive Absorption. You have advantage on melee attack rolls you make on your turn until the spell ends.
  • Shared Absorption. When you take the triggering damage, you can extend the resistance granted to you by the spell to all creatures of your choice within 15 feet of you that you can see that also took the damage.
  • Energized Spell. Instead of dealing the extra damage dealt by absorb elements when you hit with a melee attack, you can choose to add it to one damage roll of a spell you cast instead. The spell must require an attack roll, and you must declare you are adding the damage before the attack roll is made. If the extra damage is not dealt by the spell, it is wasted.
