History[edit]
The mountainside desert of northern Caragos Eavorn houses small settlements of ragtag survivors of all races. Life in these areas is harsh, with the people growing hard and morose. So too with Abdila: she began her life as a water-seeking nomad for her tribe, seeking out life-sustaining oases and nigh-dry wells of ancient civilizations. When one day she proved unable to find enough water for the tribe, she escaped to the desert rather than withstood the embarrassment and wrath.
As a capable seeker of water, she just managed to endure the horrid heat of the desert and made her way into the northwest of Pansaer, ending up in the city of Remoras. It was there that Thomas Von Gutherberg came into contact with Abdila and hired her as a strongman for his enterprises. This was back when Thomas still had his wits: now long years have passed, the head of the Von Gutherberg family has descended into depraved madness, and Abdila runs the Crimson House in Redford without much passion.
Appearance and beliefs[edit]
Not a touch of emotion passes her face. |
Abdila is pitch-black of skin and keeps her hair and bodily hair trimmed (very rare for a member of the hairy dunner race). Her eyes are brown with flecks of sea-gray, and stare out without much emotion from an equally indifferent face. She dresses in the traditional large red shawl of the bordello matron, but has little under it except for simple undergarments. She also wears a wide-brimmed black hat.
Abdila is 3' 9'' and weighs 140 lb., meaning she's on the plump side. She nonetheless moves with all the grace of a ballroom dancer - indeed, she is a practiced dancer, which is one of her only delights. Abdila speaks in an even, comforting voice that has a calming quality to it. She might work as the matron of a horrible bordello, but her strict indifference as to what anyone else feels or thinks means she cares little for the horrors.

Combat[edit]
In the thick of melee is where Abdila is most at home: the rough life of the desert and of Remoras comes instinctively back to her, and she becomes a whirlwind of kicks and blows. Her dancer's training grants her movements an unearthly grace completely at odds with the damage she deals. When supported by bordello guards, Abdila lunges into melee, using stunning fist to keep low-Fortitude foes at bay while her flurry of blows deals with low-AC combatants. When alone, she cleverly uses the features of the Crimson House to her advantage: having control over, say, a flesh golem is terribly handy.
