ACTIONS

Beak. Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 7 (1d8 + 3) piercing damage.

Drop Rock (Recharge 5-6). The hrok regurgitates and drops a large stone boulder formed from the sand and pebbles in its stomach. The first creature directly below it must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw to dodge the dropped boulder, or take bludgeoning damage based on the distance the rock fell. The damage inflicted is 3 (1d6) for every 10 feet the rock fell from the hrok the the target, to a maximum of 17 (5d6).

A hrok is a monstrous bird the size of a pony or wolf, with forest green plumage and eerily bulging eyes. It is native to dry climates of deserts and tundra, where its unusual diet consists largely of dirt, stones, and other minerals found in the ground. It routinely hunts living creatures to fill the few parts of its nutrition not filled by soil. It does so in a most peculiar method; a hrok can regurgitate dirt and sand it has previously consumed to form a large artificial boulder in its mouth, which it drops from high in the sky on unsuspecting prey. If it is particularly desperate, a hrok may resort to diving attacks with its sword-like beak, not unlike more conventional birds of prey.
