The Grand World of Tirr

In the beginning, there was only darkness - No life existed at this time that resembled what we know, now. No record exists as to what exactly spawned the chain of events that created the gods of myth, but we do know that it happened like so: It was the Life that first flooded that boundless Divine Sea, and the Light which sprang forth from the planar fold in which it was hidden... but all this could do was cause fruitless growth... until it was the ideals that joined them in pursuit of goals and ambitions. From whence they came? We do not know. We only know what they managed to create, destroy, and create, again - Ourselves.
