Broken sword 5 sp 1d4 piercing 1 lb. Finesse, light

This is simply a regular sword that has been partially broken, in combat or however. Most people would just get rid of it, but maybe this sword has a nice hilt, or sentimental value. Whatever the reason, it is now useless for slashing, instead, you can just stab with the broken part of the weapon, dealing 1d4 (2) damage on a hit. Because the weapon is broken, the remaining part of the blade is unstable and has a 10% chance of breaking completely on a hit, rendering the weapon useless (or on a natural roll of 1 or 2, whichever the DM prefers). There's no real reason that you would want to buy one of these, but the price is included for completion. You might, however, be able to find a smith that could fix the sword, but this may be expensive and/or time-consuming (DM determines price, repair time, and chance of failure (if any)).
