Becoming a Jinchuriki relatively later in life compared to many of his contemporaries, Utakata is a lover of peace. Due to this, he left his village during the Blood Mist era. While he never truly befriended Saiken, the Tailed Beast shared many of his beliefs and didn't actively fight him. As such, he is generally able to switch between his base form and Initial Release, though with some bargaining. Though rarely, Saiken has been known to allow him to enter Tailed Release without attempting to take over his body. |
