Flatten Self
4th-level Transmutation
Casting time: 1 action
Range: Self
Components: V, S, M (A drop of paint)
Duration: 1 Minute, Concentration, up to 10 minute"

Upon casting, you will immediately be propelled to the nearest perpendicular surface (ex. wall, tree, door). If there isn't a perpendicular surface within 60ft of you, nothing happens and the spell slot is lost. Upon coming into contact with the wall, you will slow down as all of your skin, bones, and equipment is turned into paint. Now you are represented by a simple painting of you on the wall. In this form, you can move around in the 2-D space, but are unable to affect anything outside the 2nd Dimension and are unable to speak. Despite this, you can still see and hear things that go on outside in the 3rd Dimension. While in this state, you gain the following abilities:

  • Damage Resistances. Bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing from nonmagical attacks
  • 2-Dimensional. You can move along solid surfaces (including walls, ceilings, and floors). You can occupy another creature's space and vice versa.

If another creature is also in this state, you can both interact and attack each other. Also, you are unable to move thru paint. For example, if someone paints a line on the wall, you are unable to pass it. When the spell ends, you will immediately be ejected from the wall. Should the surface you are on be damaged, You take half the damage that would go to the surface, and you will immediately be ejected.
