Since this page was proposed for deletion I was wondering whether there is a set of rules for making a class / race from existing fiction? Or perhaps any good examples that I can use as a reference? --AlienWeeb (talk) 14:50, 10 March 2020 (MDT)

I have given you examples of such content on your talk page for reference. If the page is not going to be reworked from its plagiarized state, it will be deleted swiftly.--Yanied (talk) 15:02, 10 March 2020 (MDT)
I have tried to rework the wording to be in the same vein as the examples you provided. Has this rework been sufficient to avoid plagiarism?--AlienWeeb (talk) 15:27, 10 March 2020 (MDT)?
This looks much better now. I'd say it works well enough.--Yanied (talk) 16:05, 10 March 2020 (MDT)

Article Spolight[edit]

Chains of Heaven. Sounds really cool, and you'd think equipment but it is not. Chains of Heaven, as the identifier shows, is a 5e race adaptation of by AlienWeeb of the Fate series. I've only watched a little bit of this, and the TYPE-MOON I don't think is part of that so my review shouldn't be too bias about keeping true to canon.
I enjoy the quote chosen a lot. It is simple and easy to understand but carries weight with it. I was a little confused reading the history of the race since at the time of this article, Chains of Heaven is simply mud but the physical description describes humanoids. I do understand the earth/mud is to be sculpted but D&D doesn't update its classes and races over time like I feel this article might intend to do as the show progresses. I'd be more interested in the history of the Chains, vs this portion contradicting the previous section.
As for the traits, I felt very underwhelmed. I think the main feature is the "Chains of Heaven" trait which seems balanced and fair. But natural weapons and grappling proficiency are things every character has. Some races do more damage with natural weapons, and some classes improve grappling capabilities but every one is already "proficient" with this. Living Construct/Natural Armor seem appropriate but when this thing is molded, is it still consider a construct? (I suppose yes) Or are there more unique things that could be done. I would consider taking a note on WotC's Vedalken race, or something else that has tiered traits. Overall, as a fan (not an enthusiast) I was excited for this but ended up feeling let down when it got to the traits. Red Leg Leo (talk) 08:20, 6 May 2020 (MDT)
