Chains of Heaven (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Chains of Heaven[edit]
“ | I'm nothing more than a weapon you wield. How you treat and what you think of your weapon are all up to you, right? | ” |
—Enkidu, the Chains of Heaven |
Physical Description[edit]
A chain of heaven, [Source]. |
The chains of heaven are able to take a wide array of forms, but their preferred form is that of a youthful humanoid with long, beautiful hair that would make royals jealous. It is hard to tell the gender of the chains of heaven at first glance. This is partly due to them having an androgynous voice, paired with their face which can be described as beautiful and elegant yet at the same time gives off a strange and uncomfortable atmosphere. While their face looks human, it also appears inhuman due to the fact that it looks "too perfect." While the feeling cannot be put into words and it is not immediately apparent to the eye, their form evokes a similar feeling in the observer as a golem constructed by magic users.
History[edit]
Chains of Heaven are tools constructed by the gods in order to bind the earth to the heavens or perhaps more accurately to bind mortals to the gods. They are born from the clod of earth, then shaped by hands of the Gods,. At this stage in life it was neither male nor female, but merely a monster made of mud that descended onto the earth and awoke in the wilderness.
Personality[edit]
The Chains of Heaven hold a great appreciation of nature and will often become lost in thought staring at stunning natural landscapes, completely ignoring those around them. Though this is not to say that they have a dislike of the mortal races but rather are fascinated by them and their belief that their Intelligence makes them separate to nature and thus the gods themselves.
Chains of Heaven Names[edit]
The name of the chains of heaven are often ingrained within the culture of humans they live alongside. These names can have gender associations even if the chain itself doesn't have that affiliation.
