Wondrous item, legendary (requires attunement by a yama)

A rod of remorse is a small, flat, gold-looking metal baton roughly 8 inches in length, steadily widening slightly towards the tip before angling inwards to form a wide point at the end, with two corners pointing outward to either side at the widest point. Both sides of the object are inscribed with ornate patterns and symbols.

Tool of Judgement. This item can be used to make a melee weapon attack against a creature within the wielder's reach. If not attuned to the item, the wielder must use their Strength for the attack and damage rolls, they do not add their proficiency bonus to their attack rolls with this item, and the item only deals 1 non-magical bludgeoning damage on a hit. While attuned to this item, the wielder is considered proficient in using it, they use their choice of either Strength, Dexterity, or Wisdom for their attack rolls with this item, and their choice of Strength, Dexterity, or Charisma for their damage rolls with this item; on a hit, the target takes 1d4 magical bludgeoning damage if it's a good aligned creature, 1d10 magical bludgeoning damage if it's a creature that is neither good nor evil aligned, or 4d6 magical bludgeoning damage if it's an evil aligned creature.
