Abu Neferet, Oasis of Secrets

The Great City of Abu Neferet, jewel of the Ashrati Empire and home to the cult of Neferi, Seat of the Consort, and the Gate of the North. The sprawling metropolis of Abu Neferet lays across the hills north of the Dinjer like a thick carpet. A visitor from Tarkhan to the south or the Malmuk station on the Royal Road to the east would first see the city as fortified docks on the far bank of the river. Behind these jetties and slips, tradesmen and women hawk their wares from the windows set into the waterside walls while smoke and noise rise from the city visible on hills behind. A wide causeway links the Royal Road to Abu Neferet's Gate, allowing trade to flow into and past the city.

The city is a dense mass of XXX

Government: Sultana Alurah bint Asrah rules as Warden of the North by the grace of Caliph Nurah al-Din. Her family, of House Asrah, fill all of her city and court positions and are her closest companions.

The Palace of Undying Light: The Sultana rules from the Palace of Undying Light, one of the most magnificent buildings in the world. The palace complex lies atop a long hill in the center of the city. The glistening triple domes of the palace and long vaulted roofs of both wings are visible all across the inner half of the city and are the symbol of the House of Asrah's imperial past. The center building of the palace was the seat of the last Grand Caliph of the Northern Caliphate. The Grand Hall of the palace is a vaulted structure that was once hung with banners of sworn cities, loyal Bedou houses, and conquered enemies. But all of the banners, as well as the trophies that once hung high on the wall, are all covered by dark banners and wood paneling.
