War Soul

A war soul recognizes that if he can use his mind to create a powerful weapon, then why can’t he learn how to use his mind to make himself into a powerful fighter. After one discovers that they can forge a mind blade from psionic energy, what’s to stop them from forging a shield and armor? A war soul’s weapon and armor display a shimmering color, which reflects their personality, just like a soulknife. However, it takes a lot more focus to maintain armor and a shield, a war soul is more than adept in such focus and concentration.

War souls typically are out to gain power, fame, and glory, making most of them chaotic. However, there is the occasional one who uses his discipline and sets out to fight an honorable battle and for just, at least in his mind, causes. War souls typically do not deal in magic, as they find their mind blade more than enough to get the job done. Also, due to their ‘superior’ mind set, they are not particularly as good at resolving conflicts. War souls usually do not band together, but on occasion they may fight together to overcome an obstacle. Most of the time, a war soul can be found with clerics, paladins, and druids. They know they can’t very well heal themselves, and they respects these classes because they all have determination and hold fast to their beliefs.'

Class Features

All the following are class features of the War Soul:

Soulknife Abilities: A War Soul may add his class levels to his soulknife levels to determine his enhancement bonus and his psychic strike damage. However, he may not add his levels for his weapon ability enhancements.

Weapon Specialization (Mind Blade): A war soul gains Weapon Specialization (mind blade) as a bonus feat.

Soul Shield (Su): A war soul may forge a soul shield as a standard action, as long as he is psionically focused. The shield has no check penalty and grants half the war soul’s charisma modifier (rounded up) as a bonus to shield armor class. He may not carry a shield at the same time he is using a soul shield. A war soul may use feats such as improved shield bash with his soul shield. The shield disappears at the war soul’s will or if he looses his psionic focus.

Far Shot (Mind Blade): A war soul may use his thrown mind blade as if he had Far Shot.

Improved Critical (mind blade): A war soul gains the Improved Critical (mind blade) as a bonus feat.

Greater Weapon Specialization (mind blade): A war soul gains Greater Weapon Specialization (mind blade) as a bonus feat.

Soul Armor (Su): A War soul may form a suit of armor a number of times per day equal to his charisma modifier while he is becoming psionically focused. The war soul may add half of his charisma modifier (rounded down) +1 per 5 points over 20 on his concentration check to determine the bonus in armor class. If the war soul expends his psionic focus, he loses the armor, however, he may form another when he becomes psionically focused again. The armor may also be added to the war soul’s touch armor class, but still counts as armor. There is no armor check penalty or maximum Dex.
