Spider Climb. The real bombchu can climb difficult surfaces, including upside down on ceilings, without needing to make an ability check.

Volatile Explosive. When the real bombchu is reduced to 0 hit points by damage other than psychic, its body explodes and it dies. Every creature within 5 feet of it must make a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw, taking 14 (4d6) thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. Any object or structure within 5 feet of it takes double this damage.

ACTIONS

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +1 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage.

Detonate. The real bombchu explodes violently like an artificial bomb, reducing its hit points to 0 and triggering its Volatile Explosive feature.

As its name implies a "Real Bombchu" is a mammalian rat-like creature that seems to mimic the function of the more renowned bombchu. Much like a mechanical bombchu, this creature can run along walls and even ceilings with ease. It seems to actively seek out any or all creatures nearby, and attacks them by charging forward and abruptly exploding its body with a chemical explosive—with the apparent intent of taking out the target with it.

Real bombchu usually live in packs of a dozen or more, but are exceedingly rare in the wild. They are more often the pets of twisted researchers who created or cloned these creatures through magical means. Indeed, it is unknown if bombchu were inspired by real bombchu, or if real bombchu themselves are the artificial creation.
