Skinbark
2nd-level Transmutation
Casting time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Components: Verbal, Somatic, Material (a bit of skin from any creature)
Duration: Up to 1 hour

You touch an inanimate object. Until the spell ends, the target's outermost layer takes on a disturbing, fleshy appearance, and any damage done to it makes it react as if the damage had been done to humanoid flesh (bleeding upon being pierced, blistering from severe burns, bruising from impacts, et cetera).
Any creature (besides the caster) that witnesses the effect must succeed a Wisdom saving throw against the caster's spell save DC or become frightened of the object until the spell ends. When the spell ends, any flesh harvested from the object turns back into its original material. This spell's effect can also be dismissed with a bonus action.
