1911A1 45. ACP Majestic (5e Equipment)

From D&D Wiki

Stub Logo.png This page is incomplete and/or lacking flavor. Reason: Uses some weird combination of the 5e and D20M weapon templates. "Pistol" is not a valid weapon type, 5e uses simple/martial melee/ranged weapons (in this instance, this should be a martial ranged weapon). "Ballistic" and "bloodening" are not valid damage types. Everything in the "Game Rules" section (which is a vague name, pretty much everything outside of the description is a game rule) could be removed, since this page already has a cost, and the section is written like this is intended for a single campaign, when 5e weapons are generally supposed to be universally applicable. Conceptually, this is already in the DMG as the Automatic Pistol, which deals significantly more damage (2d6). Range doesn't match 5e's 1:3 ratio for firearm ranges, also established in the DMG, and is completely lacking any other properties. All together, this barely uses 5e rules.

(1d4 bloodening) The Majestic Singer M1911 A1 is a single-action, semi-automatic, magazine-fed, recoil-operated main service handgun chambered for the .45 ACP cartridge. Standard-issue for sergeant side arms for the United States armed forces from 1911 to now ww 2. The M1911 is still carried by some U.S. forces. In total, the United States procured around 2.7 million M1911 and M1911A1 pistols in military contracts during its service life.

Game Rules

In WWII, the Colt .45 is standard-issue for any American character, free of charge. For a character to qualify as 'American', the Nationality of that character must be United States of America - Note that Canada does not qualify one to be 'American' under this ruling, but for the purposes of simplicity, and also to reflect US arms being used by Canadian troops, any Canadian characters may be equipped with a M1911A1 for $50. British and other Allied characters must purchase a Colt .45 for the price indicated above. German and Allied characters from Axis countries must also pay the full price of 15 gd.

The Colt .45 combines very good stopping power with reliability and a small weight.
