Zangoose (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Zangoose[edit]
Physical Description[edit]
A Zangoose. Source |
Zangoose are short and fluffy feline-mongoose hybrids. Their bodies are coated in a thick white fur, with their left ear and both forearms covered in a reddish fur. A strange red mark, sometimes referred to as a scar, adorns their chest. Their eyes are pinkish and two long, black claws protrude from their arms.
Some Zangoose have been known to have bluish fur instead of reddish fur, their eyes are the same color of blue, and their claws, instead of being black, are orange.
History[edit]
Zangoose originated from the tropical island of Hoenn, but can be found almost anywhere such as Kalos and Unova. Being a type of mongoose, they loathe snakes, especially Seviper which also originated on Hoenn. When Zangoose sees one, it's fur stands on end and it's retractable claws extend as it goes into a battle stance, standing on two legs when it usually walks on all fours. It is unknown why Zangoose have such a rivalry Seviper in particular, but it is a bitter relationship that dates back countless generations.
Society[edit]
While most Zangoose chose to life solitary lives in open fields or forests, they will sometimes work in groups usually of 4 or 5, especially when fighting Sevipers.
