Mecha dragons are an exotic species of dragon with the characteristics of a machine, or an exotic variety of machine with the characteristics of a dragon, depending on who you ask. Like all dragons, they are born, not made; they are highly intelligent, magical beings, and they grow larger and stronger with age. However, their curious biology - or lack thereof - means their status as true dragons is highly questionable. Where any other dragon would have flesh and blood, they have complex machinery and oil. Where a dragon would have scales, they have an armored alloy shell. They have no recognizable internal organs, not even a brain; instead their intelligence comes from an AI housed inside a computer located within their head. They don't eat food, instead eating metals & ores, somehow integrating the material into their bodies to repair damage or gradually augment themselves. Fitting their appearance, mecha dragons have cold, calculating, ruthlessly logical personalities. |
