A typical depiction of Yewande

Yewande is the goddess of peace. She is called The Holy Mother, The Blessed Mother, The Eternal Mother, and the Mother of Gods. Supposedly she gave birth to all the other deities, including the actual world itself. She views all the people of the world as her children.

Dogma[edit]

Heal all who require it, even if they are your enemies. Drive out disease, cut away decay, and bring light to those who live in darkness. Promote harmony and peace, and lend help where it is needed...particularly to those who cannot help themselves. Do not raise weapons in anger, but defend yourself and those whose lives are in danger. Honor those who have passed on to a better life, but remember that your duties lie with those who are left behind. Comfort their pain, bandage their wounds, show them compassion, and ease the sorrow in their hearts.

Clergy and Temples[edit]

Yewande's clergy are almost always women. They are humble servants of the Mother, sent out do do Her work. Usually they wear blue robes.

Her temples vary greatly in appearance. From tall towers to a shack with holes in the roof, anywhere people come to pay homage to the Mother is a temple.
