Witherbane Weapon (longsword), legendary (requires attunement)

This longsword was originally wielded by the legendary hero Hanzzle and was forged to combat the undead. You gain a +2 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.

When you hit an undead creature with this weapon, the creature takes an extra 2d6 radiant damage.

As a bonus action, you can expend 1 charge to cause the sword to shed bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. This effect lasts for 1 hour or until you use a bonus action to end it.

The sword has 5 charges and regains 1d4 + 1 expended charges daily at dawn. You can use the charges in the following ways:

  • When you hit a creature with this weapon, you can expend 1 charge to deal an extra 2d6 force damage to the target.
  • As an action, you can expend 3 charges to cast the spirit guardians spell (save DC 15) from the sword.
