You blow air forward, slashing anything in its path. Choose one target within range. Each creature in the line must make a Dexterity saving throw. A creature takes slashing damage equal to 2d6 + your spellcasting ability on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
The wind disperses gas or vapor, and it extinguishes candles, torches, and similar unprotected flames in the area. It causes protected flames, such as those of lanterns, to dance wildly and has a 50 percent chance to extinguish them. A nonmagical object that isn’t being worn or carried also takes the damage if it’s in the spell’s area.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, the damage increases by 1d6 for each slot level above 1st.
