Weaver's Fever (5e Disease)
From D&D Wiki
Weaver's Fever[edit]
Weaver's fever is a rare flu-like virus found only in magical environments. It is spread by contact or proximity with an infected individual. Once you are exposed to weaver's fever, you must make a DC 13 Constitution saving throw or become infected. Symptoms manifest 1d6 hours after infection and include coughing, sneezing, aches, congestion, and shivering chills. While infected, you suffer from a level of exhaustion which can't be removed until the disease is cured.
The worst symptoms of weaver's fever only affect users of arcane magic. Whenever you cast a bard, sorcerer, warlock, or wizard spell, you must make another DC 13 Constitution saving throw. On a failure, you take 5 (1d10) points of necrotic damage from backlash, or 11 (2d10) points of necrotic damage if you used a spell slot of 5th level or higher.
After a long rest, you can make another DC 13 Constitution saving throw. Once you've made three successful saves, you are no longer infected.
