Class Features[edit]

All the following are class features of the Warper:

Weapon and Armor Proficiency:: Warpers gain no new proficiency with any weapon or armor. Truenaming: When a new warper level is gained the warper gains new spells per day as if he had also gained a level in a truenamer class he belonged to before adding the prestige class. He does not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained, except for an increased effective level of Truespeaking. If a character had more than one truenaming class before becoming a Warper, he must decide to which class he adds the new level for purposes of determining spells per day.

Word of Allowance (Ex):At first level, the Warper reduces the penalty to his Truespeak checks from the Law of Resistance from +2 to +1 to DCs with each successive attempt at an utterance. At fifth level this penalty is removed entirely.

Echo (Su): Starting at 2nd level a Warper gains the ability to repeat the utterance spoken in the previous round. The Warper does not roll for the Truespeak check, simply using the result of the previous check again. The echoed utterance may affect the same target or a new target within range. At every even level past 2nd the Warper gains an additional use of this ability per day.

Phrase (Su): Starting at 5th level, and again at 7th and 9th level, a Warper gains knowledge of a Phrase of Power. The Phrase learned must be picked from the following list. The Law of Resistance applies to all of these Phrases, regardless of a Warper’s Word of Allowance ability.

-Phrase of Denial: Remove an (Ex) or (Su) Ability – The chosen ability is rendered unusable for 1hour/class level or 1/round/class level with a successful Will save (DC=10+Truenamer Level+Cha bonus)

-Phrase of Alteration: Reassign attributes – When this phrase is spoken the Warper alters the basic structure of the target by raising one statistic and lowering another. The net change in total attribute points must equal zero and no attribute may be raised or lowered more than the Warper’s Cha bonus. A creature under the effects of a Phrase of Alteration may not be further effected by this Phrase. This phrase lasts 1 round/class level on a failed will save, or for 1 round only on a successful save.

-Phrase of Indominatability: The target of this Phrase gains an unnamed bonus to his AC equal to the Warper’s class level for a number of rounds equal to 2xthe Warper’s Cha bonus.

-Phrase of Retribution: When this Phrase is uttered, the Warper gains a bonus to his attack rolls equal to his class level. Each successive attack decreases this bonus by 1. The Phrase effect ends when the bonus reaches 0

-Phrase of Inversion: When spoken, this Phrase targets a spell effect within range with a duration greater than Instantaneous. All numerical effects of the spell are inverted. IE, a Mage Armour spell targeted by this Phrase would give a -4 to AC. This phrase may be readied and used as a Swift action, inverting an Instantaneous spell as it is cast, such as to make a Cure Light Wounds spell cause damage rather than heal.

-Phrase of Futility: When spoken, the target of this phrase either gains or loses SR equal to 2x class level. This effect lasts a number of rounds equal to the Warpers Cha bonus. This spell resistance, if gained, does not stack with the target's existing SR if they have any.

Raname (Su): When a Warper reaches 10th level he or she learns the ultimate ability: to reshape their own personal Truename. This ability functions as the psionic power Psychic Reconstruction, but the effect is entirely personal, and may be used to restructure levels, skills, feats and any other abilities alterable by that power if the requisite XP cost is paid. In addition, one statistic may be raised by lowering another permanently by an equal amount. This alteration costs XP equal to the newly raised Stat Value x 300 XP. The XP cost must be paid seperately for each point the stat is increased. IE, to raise Strength from 13 to 16 costs 13500XP (4200 from 13 to 14, 4500 from 14 to 15, 4800 from 15 to 16. The time to use this ability is 1 hour per 1000XP spent in the process.
