Walpurgis[edit]

You have mastered the secrets of life and death. As a result, you have arisen as a Walpurgis; a being with the power to manipulate the forces of death, a grand witch capable of summoning death itself. You now have the following benefits:

  • When encountering a creature other than undead with a CR or level equal to 1/4 of your level, you may choose to kill them instantly by setting them aflame and disintegrating them into dust. If the creature is an undead, the CR requirement is 1/2 of your level. The range of this feature is 60 feet.

  • You cast the spirit of death spell at a spell level equal to half of your character level without expending any spell slots or components by taking 10d100 necrotic damage(this damage cannot be reduced in any way and you die if your hit points drop to 0). All the ability scores of the spirit increase by half of your spellcasting ability modifier. The spirit adds your spellcasting ability modifier to the damage it deals on a hit. The spirit lasts till it or the target drop to 0 hit points instead of the usual duration. Concentration is no longer necessary.

Although you can manipulate Death and Casualty, this puts a serious toll on you. Your hit point maximum is reduced by 20, your death save DC is 20 and you make all death saving throws with a disadvantage. Additionally, you are automatically considered a mortal enemy by undead creatures and will be attacked immediately upon being seen.
