Hold Breath. Vuthra can hold his breath up to 15 minutes.

Folding Across the Layers. Vuthra is unaffected by difficult terrain and opportunity attacks made against him have disadvantage.

Brutal Critical. Vuthra can roll three additional weapon damage die when determining the extra damage for a critical hit with a melee attack.

R'lyeh. Vuthra was gifted this artifact to aid his effort of destruction. This weapon can be summoned and banished to an empty hand at will. Vuthra has satisfied the sword's spirit enough to gain its full cooperation.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. Vuthra can make two R'lyeh actions or one Terrorize action followed by a R'lyeh action.

R'lyeh (Greatsword). Melee Weapon Attack: +16 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 20 (2d6 + 13) slashing damage. If the target is frightened, it takes an additional 21 (6d6) slashing damage.

Terrorize. Vuthra exudes a wave of unnerving energy. Each creature within 60 feet of him must succeed on a DC 18 Wisdom saving throw or become frightened of him for 1 minute.

Aberrant Strike (3/Day). Vuthra makes one attack with R'lyeh with advantage on the attack roll. If the attack hits, the target takes damage as if it had vulnerability to slashing damage.

REACTIONS

Melting Form. When Vuthra is hit by an attack or fails a saving throw to reduce damage from a spell or magical effect, he can dissolve his physical form for an instant, gaining resistance to the resulting damage.

LEGENDARY ACTIONS

Vuthra can take 3 legendary actions, choosing from the options below. Only one legendary action option can be used at a time and only at the end of another creature's turn. Vuthra regains spent legendary actions at the start of his turn.

Move. Vuthra can move up to his speed.
Attack. Vuthra makes one attack with R'lyeh.
Aggregated Purpose (Costs 3 Actions). If Vuthra has half of his hit points or fewer remaining, he regains 50 hit points.

Beyond the rim of every world, be it the horizon, sky, or other boundary, there is always the territory of the unknown. What is unknown to some is known and often belonging to others. Past the sunsets off the Sword Coast, the stars above Faerûn, and the Astral Sea lie the Outer Planes. These places are the images of the afterlife for many mortal creatures. The Seven Heavens, Limbo, Hades, Valhalla, among many more rest at this extreme boundary of the universe. However, even their territories end somewhere.

What lies beyond the resting places of the benevolent is a treacherous and unexplored miasma of uncertainty; the Far Planes.

It is from this void that the Old Ones command their masses of twisted mortals. Their touch extends from the lost minds of Elder Brains and Aboleths to spread madness and chaos. One such creature was named Vuthra.
He was a young lizardfolk when a disciple of “The Messenger” came. A nondescript and amorphous individual, the mad prophet proclaimed that knowledge and power awaited the faithful and worthy. Vuthra took a slight interest, as did others, and pledged his life to the service of “The Messenger.”

Once just a devout servant, Vuthra was selected to become more than a simple follower. “The Messenger” gave Vuthra the path and trials to ascend to a higher station among the cultists. After many grueling decades, Vuthra had battled madness, death, disease, sickness, as well as directly combatted kingdoms and countries in pursuit of the knowledge and power promised to him.

Vuthra now stands triumphant in the face of those trials. His days as a mortal have ended. “The Messenger” lets him run amok, content in the slaughter and malice in his puppet. He now wages war and sows fear among those foolish enough to feel such a weak emotion to prepare the world for the inevitable return of the Old Ones.
