Rampage. When the wurm reduces a creature to 0 hit points with a melee attack on its turn, the wurm can take a bonus action to move up to half its speed and make a bite attack.

Tunneler. The wurm can burrow through solid rock at half its burrow speed and leaves a 5-foot-diameter tunnel in its wake.

ACTIONS

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +8 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (2d10 + 5) piercing damage. If the target is a creature, it is grappled (escape DC 16). Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained and the wurm can't make bite attacks against other targets.

Swallow. The wurm makes one bite attack against a Medium or smaller target it is grappling. If the attack hits, the target is also swallowed, and the grapple ends. While swallowed, the target is blinded and restrained, it has total cover against attacks and other effects outside the wurm, and it takes 14 (4d6) acid damage at the start of each of the wurm's turns. A wurm can have only one creature swallowed at a time.
If the wurm takes 30 damage or more on a single turn from the swallowed creature, the wurm must succeed on a DC 20 Constitution saving throw at the end of that turn or regurgitate the creature, which falls prone in a space within 10 feet of the wurm. If the wurm dies, a swallowed creature is no longer restrained by it and can escape from the corpse by using 10 feet of movement, exiting prone.

Vicious wurms are the least of the wurms, covered in dull beige or tan scales. They wait buried near the surface for prey and burst out, drag whatever they can catch underground and disappear just as suddenly. Those daring or foolhardy enough to venture into the tunnel of the vicious wurm may be able to recover what the wurm took, though the cramped environment and countless twists and turns make it easy to get lost and in turn become the beast's next meal.
It is said that a vicious wurm will eventually become a different type of wurm, though the exact method by which this occurs is unknown.
