Varrenon (5e Deity)
From D&D Wiki
Varrenon[edit]
Alignment. Chaotic Good
Domains. Death, Life, Nature
Divine Rank. Lesser Deity
Varrenon, in short, is not very well known deity. He was quickly forgotten after forest fires just seemed to be natural by the folk of the world. He was framed for the “extinction” of the dinosaurs by the higher gods and was banished to the plane of fire many millions of years ago. He can sometimes touch the material plane with forest fires but only when it hasn't rained in a while. Varrenon takes the appearance of a 20 years old human with red spiky hair and glasses with an average build. He also wears common clothes and a red scarf around his neck as his signature clothing. Varrenon kind of hates practically every higher god in the multiverse mostly because they framed him and sent his adopted son to the plane of fire with him. Mostly because no one really knows him there are not very many clerics that worship Varrenon. Since there are not very many clerics who worship him, he will constantly check in on his various clerics in their dreams practically every night, unlike most gods. Clerics of Varrenon usually bear a symbol of a burning tree. His few worshipers have the ideology of that there must be death for new life to be formed. This is the same way that burnt tree provides nutrients for a new smaller tree that then takes its place, kind of like a phoenix. In addition warlocks of Varrenon are also a thing. Warlocks happen when people get caught in forest fire and die, but varrenon takes pity on them and keeps them alive. They then gain magical fire powers.
